Governor signs order allowing hotels to prioritize rooms for first responders
BATON ROUGE - Governor John Bel Edwards signed an order Monday allowing hotels to cancel any reservations that would displace first responders.
The state of emergency amendment also protects healthcare workers and individuals performing disaster or emergency-related work.
The amendment will expire Friday, Sept. 24, and can be renewed if needed.
