Five students facing battery charges over school bus brawl
BATON ROUGE - Five students are facing criminal charges after a fight forced a school bus to come to a halt on College Drive Thursday afternoon.
The incident was reported around 4:30 p.m. on College Drive just north of the I-10 overpass. Baton Rouge police confirmed five juveniles are facing battery charges because of the altercation.
The five being charged have been released to their parents. The East Baton Rouge Parish School System says all five were female students.
One person suffered minor injuries, police said.
BRPD is still investigating the incident.
