APSO assisting flood victims in Texas
BATON ROUGE - The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office is joining the flood relief effort in Texas.
According to the Sheriff's Office Facebook page, Sheriff Jeff Wiley and deputies from Ascension Parish have arrived in Texas and will be assisting the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office with flood relief.
Video shared by Chief Deputy Bobby Webre shows multiple Ascension Parish Sheriff's specialty units, along with trucks and boats to assist in rescue operations.
The Sheriff's Office Facebook page also shared a post from 'The Church International,' which reportedly donated to the community after the flood of 2016.
