Aloe Blacc cancels LSU-Arkansas halftime appearance
BATON ROUGE - Aloe Blacc’s halftime performance with the LSU band, which was scheduled to happen Saturday in Tiger Stadium has been cancelled.
LSU Sports Information says Blacc was scheduled to perform at halftime of the LSU-Arkansas football game in connection with the Tiger Marching Band’s show. The Blacc cancellation makes it the second time this season a band scheduled to appear at halftime has pulled out, as pop band OneRepublic cancelled their Oct. 17 appearance in Tiger Stadium.
At the time, officials said the OneRepublic cancellation would have no impact on the previously scheduled Aloe Blacc appearance.
Blacc’s promoter declined an offer from LSU’s new halftime show partner, Halftime Live, to perform the show, resulting in the cancellation.
LSU Sports Information approached the cancellation optimistically, saying the cancellation would give the Tiger Band more time for their Salutes tribute.
