BATON ROUGE — Governments and organizations are announcing closures in preparation for a winter storm this weekend. See a full list of closures in the area below:
All state offices will close at noon on Sunday and stay closed through Monday.
Ascension Parish
- All Ascension Parish government offices will be closed on Monday.
East Baton Rouge Parish
- There will be no trash or recycling collection Monday
- The East Baton Rouge Council on Aging announced it will be closed Monday, Jan. 26, in anticipation of the impending winter storm. Meals on Wheels clients who normally receive meals on Monday will instead receive their meal boxes on the morning of Saturday, Jan. 24. Clients must be home at the time of delivery to receive them.
- St. George Chamber of Commerce meeting set for Jan. 26 has been postponed, new date to be announced.
- All St. George City Hall employees will work remotely on Monday.
- Pennington Biomedical will be closed on Monday, January 26.
- The City of Baker offices will be closed on Monday.
- All BREC facilities will be closed Monday.
- Mayor-President Sid Edwards announced that all City-Parish offices will be closed on Monday.
- The East Baton Rouge Parish Juvenile Court will be closed Monday.
- All locations of the East Baton Rouge Parish Library will be closed on Monday. The main library on Goodwood Boulevard will serve as a warming center on Monday.
- The 19th Judicial District court and East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court's Office will be closed on Monday.
Livingston Parish
-All Livingston Parish government offices will be closed on Monday.
Pointe Coupee Parish
-The Pointe Coupee Parish Clerk of Court has cancelled a jury organized for Jan. 26.
St. Mary Parish
- Berwick Town Hall will be closed on Monday.
Tangipahoa Parish
- Village of Tangipahoa is suspending utility disconnections through Jan. 29, 2026.
- Kentwood City Hall will be closed on Monday.
West Baton Rouge Parish
- The West Baton Rouge Parish Commodities distribution dates changed as a result of inclement weather; the new dates will be Feb. 3 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Addis, Brusly, Erwinville, Winterville, Feb. 4 at the same time in the Port Allen area, and Feb. 5 at the same time for people to walk into food banks.
- The City of Port Allen's offices will be closed on Monday. Further information on re-openings will be announced with conditions have been assessed.
