Two taken to hospital after car hits kids getting off school bus
BATON ROUGE – Two kids were taken to the hospital after being hit by a car while exiting a school bus Thursday evening.
The kids were hit at the corner of Alvin Dark and Jay Hebert Drive. Police said the driver of the car stopped at the scene.
Investigators determined the kids got off the school bus and as the bus pulled away, the kids ran across the street and were then hit by the car. No drivers were at fault, police said.
The two kids, who were not identified, did not sustain serious injuries.
