SEC announces 2020 Football Awards, All-SEC Team

The Southeastern Conference announced Tuesday (Dec. 22) its list of athletes and coaches who've been awarded for outstanding performance.

Topping the list were Alabama's DeVonta Smith who was named SEC Offensive Player of the Year, and Patrick Surtain II of Crimson Tide, who earned the title of Defensive Player of the Year.

Alabama coach Nick Saban was named SEC Coach of the Year while Alabama's Mac Jones earned scholar-athlete of the year honors.

Three of LSU's student-athletes were named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and a total of eight LSU players were recognized.  The honored athletes include Derek Stingley, Cade York, Ali Gaye, Arik Gilbert, B.J. Ojulari, Eli Ricks, Zach Von Rosenberg, and Kayshon Boutte.
