Police: Three arrested after security guard shot, killed Saturday
BATON ROUGE – Three people have been arrested after a security guard was shot and killed at a North Acadian Thruway bar early Saturday morning.
Police said Deswin Harden, 37, and another guard were breaking up a fight outside Peyton's Lounge when the shooting happened. Harden died from the gunshot injuries, while the second guard was injured. Police say the person suffered injuries that aren't considered to be life-threatening.
Joseph Butler, 45, was arrested Sunday and charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
Police announced the arrest of two other suspects Monday afternoon. Gerald Washington, 23, and Gerald Butler, 44, were both charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and illegal use of weapons.
