BATON ROUGE - Mellow Mushroom, a beloved hangout near LSU's campus for almost two decades, has closed its doors for good.

On Monday, the restaurant and bar announced via its Facebook page Monday that it had already closed for the last time. 

The business did not immediately give a reason for the sudden shuttering.
