Mandeville man killed Friday in single vehicle crash
COVINGTON- Authorities say a man was killed in a single vehicle crash Friday morning.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, the accident happened around 5 a.m. on Lowe Davis Road near Highway 59 in Covington.
Officials say 20-year-old William Meredith of Mandeville was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle went off-road and into a ditch.
Evidence suggests that Meredith was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, authorities said.
Troopers obtained routine toxicology samples for analysis.
The crash is still under investigation.
