LSU wins extra inning thriller 6-5 over Cincinnati
It took LSU a couple of tries, but finally the put visiting Cinicinnati behind them in the Tigers season opener at Alex Box Stadium.
Junior Jordan Romero in his first couple of at bats as an LSU Tiger saved the Tigers from their first opening game loss in fifteen years with a game extending RBI in the 9th inning, he would eventually hit the game winner in the 12th as LSU beat Cincinnati 6-5 in 12.
Game 2 of the series will start Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with LSU ace Alex Lange on the mound for the Tigers.
LSU trailed 3-1 but rallied for single runs in both the 8th and 9th innings forcing the game to extra innings.

Both teams scored two runs in the 10th frame before Romero blooped a RBI single to shallow right field driving home O'Neal Lochridge from third for the game winner.
