LSU reports another 123 virus cases over past few days
BATON ROUGE - LSU announced more than 100 additional coronavirus cases among its community Friday, bringing the total number of known cases to 489 since students returned to campus.
The university announced another 123 cases were recorded among the LSU community since its last update Wednesday. Another 137 had been reported among students, faculty and staff between Sunday and Wednesday.
LSU's student government president was among those to test positive for the virus and urged others to get tested Friday.

The university first began tracking cases among its students and staff Aug. 15, around the time students first began move back onto campus.
The university plans to update the case number weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
