LSU prepares for bowl game against Texas Tech
HOUSTON - After struggling down the stretch, the LSU Tigers will look to finish their season with back-to-back wins as they face Texas Tech in the Texas Bowl Tuesday night.
The Tigers (8-3) have the chance to get to 9 wins for the 6th time in the past 7 years: standing in their way is a Red Raiders team who - like LSU - suffered a 3 game losing streak near the end of the season.
The Red Raiders have the 2nd highest scoring offense in the Big 12 (46.6 points per game) but also have one of the worst defenses (42.6 points allowed).
LSU will try and take advantage of a weak Red Raiders rushing defense with Leonard Fournette (1,741 rush yds), who finished 6th in the Heisman voting this year.
