Grinch snatches holiday packages from Denham Springs home
DENHAM SPRINGS - He wasn't green or hairy, but the Reynolds' family claims a grinch paid them an unwelcome visit this week.
Their security cameras caught a man snatching two large packages off their front porch.
"He is a grinch," said Shonda Reynolds, who lives there with her husband and three children.
Reynolds says the packages contained Christmas gifts for her kids, totaling about $300.
"That's sad and I just don't want anybody else to experience it," said Reynolds.
The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office arrested the suspect, identified as Bryson K Evans. He is listed as homeless in the arrest report.
In a statement, Sheriff Ard said he received several similar complaints from residents in the Shadow Springs subdivision. He added that his office generally sees an uptick in crime around this time of year.
Reynolds is glad the scrooge is behind bars, but now she's left scurrying to replace the stolen gifts.
