BATON ROUGE - A bus driver accused of smoking marijuana while picking up kids is no longer employed at the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.
The school system started investigating social media posts earlier this month alleging that the employee was driving erratically and using the drug while picking up elementary students.
A notice sent out to parents at the time said the school system was investigating the "alleged incident of marijuana use during a bus route." The school system confirmed Thursday that the driver is no longer employed there but refused to provide further information.
As of Thursday, it's unclear whether school officials was able to substantiate the claims of drug use on the bus.
