Construction start date set for LA 447, I-12 interchange in Livingston Parish
LIVINGSTON PARISH - Traffic officials say construction is set to begin Monday, Feb. 15 at the LA 447 and I-12 interchange in Livingston Parish.
The work on the interchange is expected to be completed in August of 2017. The State Department of Transportation says intermittent delays and possible nightly closures are likely to occur while the construction is underway. Lane closures will be required while crews construct new roundabouts at the ends of the I-12 exit ramps.
LA DOTD encourages motorists to avoid the construction zone altogether by taking Juban Road (LA 1026) to US 190 as an alternate route.
We’ll have more details about the project coming up tonight on News 2 at 10.
