Clinic no longer performing abortions in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE - Abortions are no longer being performed in Baton Rouge since the only abortion clinic here no longer meets state law.
After a court upheld the law requiring doctors at clinics have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital, the facility in East Baton Rouge was forced to stop providing abortion services. However, medical staff can handle prep care and send women to New Orleans.
No one returned calls for comment from the clinic in Baton Rouge, the Delta Clinic, on Colonial Drive.
