HAMMOND - The Tangipahoa Water District has issued a temporary boil order for parts of Hammond Thursday. 

Officials issued the order due to a line break and a loss in water pressure. Samples will be taken to the Department of Health for testing and residents should be given an update by Friday.

Until then, the boil advisory is in effect for the following areas: Happywood Rd to Billville Rd, including General Ott Estates, Robinwood Subdivision, Victoria Oaks Subdivision and Jefferson Court Subdivision
