Authorities responding to reported fuel spill in Bayou Teche
CENTERVILLE - The Marine Section of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office is responding to reports of a fuel spill in Bayou Teche.
According to the Sheriff's Office, authorities detected a sheen on the water approximately one mile long sometime Saturday.
The U.S. Coast Guard has been notified and is responding as well. The public is advised to avoid the area.
