1 transported following shooting Monday night
BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Police and EMS responded to an apparent shooting Monday night in Baton Rouge.
First responders were dispatched just after 10 p.m. to BREC's Longfellow Park at 5201 Longfellow Drive. A News 2 crew was on scene as the 21-year-old victim was loaded into the back of the ambulance.

According to BRPD spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola Jr., the shooting may have stemmed from a verbal altercation. The victim's injuries are non-life threatening. The victim's identity has not been released, and there's no known suspect at the time of this post.
