ZACHARY- A man was booked on child pornography charges Monday.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, Riley Holbrook’s live-in girlfriend contacted Captain J. Ruiz at a Zachary substation after finding lewd photos of juveniles on a phone she found in Holbrook’s backpack.

The girlfriend told deputies she was trying to locate Holbrook’s parents’ address when she found the phone in a backpack next to his laptop. The phone had several notifications from dating websites and apps, including Dropbox, a digital storage application. The app contained several nude photographs of male and female juveniles.

Deputies were granted a search warrant for the phone and confirmed at least 4 lewd photographs of juveniles, along with hundreds of other pornographic photos and videos.

Holbrook was arrested shortly after he arrived home around 6 p.m. and was taken in for questioning. He stated that he was aware of the photos, but thought he had deleted them after he “went through a phase” six months ago when he would look at the photos.

Holbrook was transported to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he was booked on child pornography charges.

WBRZ has learned that further forensic investigation on the phone may produce additional nude photographs containing children, at which time additional charges will be added.
