UPDATE 9-3-17: BRPD says Orange turned himself in around 8:00 p.m. Sunday night. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison 

UPDATE 9-2-17: Baton Rouge Police have issued an arrest warrant for 31-year-old Randy Orange for 2nd degree murder. 

BRPD says Orange is accused of killing 31-year-old Warren Jackson after a verbal argument on Dayton Street Saturday afternoon.

BATON ROUGE - One person was reportedly shot in the head on Dayton Street early Saturday afternoon.

According to authorities, the shooting took place in the 2800 block of Dayton Street just before 1:00 p.m.

Sources tell WBRZ the victim was found dead when first responders arrived on scene. BRPD officials confirmed a 31-year-old man was killed.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Violent Crimes Unit at 389-4869.
