Summer comes to an end as students, teachers head back to school
WEST BATON ROUGE - It's a big day for students in West Baton Rouge Parish as they head back to school today.
Soon the bell will ring for the start of a new school year. WBRZ will be live all morning from Brusly High School.

WBRZ had the chance to speak with 2018 State Teacher of the Year Kimberly Eckert. The excited English teacher said it was her eleventh first day of school as a teacher.
WBR students aren't the only ones returning to school Wednesday. Students in six other parishes will also be heading back Wednesday.
