Mother of five arrested for sex with underage boy
WASHINGTON PARISH - A 34-year-old mother of five was arrested and her children taken by the Department of Family Services based on second time accusations that she had sex with an underage boy.
Sheriff's deputies in Washington Parish say Rachel Marie Carrier was also accused of engaging in drug and alcohol related behavior with other juveniles.
A sheriff's office spokesperson said Carrier was originally arrested on June 28 on charges of carnal knowledge and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. She posted bond two days later with one of the conditions of her bond being that she was to have no further contact with the male victim.
In early August, the sheriff's office said it received information that Carrier was still carrying on her relationship with the juvenile along with engaging in additional illegal activities. Carrier was arrested again and booked into the Washington Parish Jail.
She is charged with three felony counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and five felony counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Deputies said that due to the arrests and poor living conditions observed at her residence, the woman's five children were taken by DCFS.
"I'm outraged and sickened by the actions of this woman who is an obvious danger to any juvenile," said Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal. "She is in jail where she belongs and is an excellent candidate for the penitentiary. It is difficult to comprehend any adult who is fixated with sexual and drug activity with juveniles."
