Man shot in leg during potential attempted robbery

BATON ROUGE - Police say one person suffered non-life threatening injuries in a shooting following a possible attempted robbery.

It happened around 7:00 p.m. near the 5800 block of Victory Drive, according to police.

They say a 55-year-old victim was shot in the leg, possibly following an attempted robbery of an individual.

The shooting is still under investigation. Updates will be posted when they become available.
