Man's windshield crushed by golf ball replaced after 2 On Your Side story
BATON ROUGE - A man's car windshield that was smashed by a golf ball is now fixed after a call to 2 On Your Side's Brittany Weiss.
Robert Perkins lives at Fairway View Apartments with his wife and son, and parks his car out front of his apartment. Almost a month ago, he was walking outside to his car and found the windshield to be cracked.
Perkins didn't think he should have to pay for it since the ball came from BREC's Webb Park Golf Course, which is next door to his apartment complex.
Professional Glass Works in Gonzales saw the 2 On Your Side story that aired last week and decided to help out.
Now, because of Wade Utrera with Professional Glass Works, Perkins has a brand new windshield, free of charge.
Perkins said he's very appreciative of both the company and 2 On Your Side.
"I'll tell anybody, call 2 on your side," Perkins said. "Thank you, thank you."
