Man injured in shooting on North 48th Street

BATON ROUGE - Officials responded to a shooting on North 48th Street Friday night.

Police said the shooting occurred after 9 p.m. in the 1600 block of North 48th near Gus Young Ave.

A male victim was transported to the hospital following the shooting, according to a Baton Rouge Police Department spokesperson.

Officials said the victim received non-life threatening injuries.
