LSU sells out of Texas Bowl tickets
BATON ROUGE - LSU ticket officials said they sold out of their supply of tickets for the upcoming AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl game.
Associate LSU Athletic Director Brian Broussard said the university had 8,500 tickets to sell after the bowl game was announced.
The Tigers will face the Texas Tech Red Raiders Dec. 29 at NRG Stadium with kickoff at 8 p.m. The last time LSU and Texas Tech faced each other was in 1957, with the Tigers winning 19-14. The Tigers are 2-0 all-time against the Red Raiders.
The Tigers finished the regular season 8-3 with a 5-3 SEC record. The Red Raiders are 7-5 with a 4-5 record in the Big 12.
