Independence man who allegedly shot brother arrested two days later
INDEPENDENCE - A man who allegedly shot his brother Tuesday evening was arrested.
According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened at a home along East Copper Road around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The shooter, later identified as 19-year-old Jaquaveon Nicholes, was arrested Thursday.
He was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail for one count of attempted second-degree murder.
The victim was being treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and as of Thursday, was still in the hospital, according to deputies.
