BATON ROUGE - Stolen property landed a second man in Jail in Florida with links to a double murder in Baton Rouge last month.

Frank Garcia, 48, now faces murder and kidnapping chargers for the deaths of Denis and Suzanne Duplantier in their Highland Road home. Investigators say Garcia is tied to Ernesto Alonso who is already in jail in Florida.

The key link between Garcia and the Duplaintier's is stolen personal items found in Garcia's Hollywood, Florida home, according to East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore. Investigators say cell phone locations tie Garcia to Alonso in Baton Rouge at the time of the murders, and phone records show contact between the two accused killers.

"We have a lot of evidence to analyze. We have DNA evidence, phone records, cameras, fingerprints, all kinds of things that are still out there still being investigated, still being tested," said Moore. "So we're really in the initial phases. Obviously there was enough for two different arrest warrants for two different individuals."

Video evidence also shows Alonso and Garcia in separate vehicles in close proximity on their alleged getaway drive leaving Baton Rouge. Both prosecutors and investigators believe they have a strong case against both men.

The state is still working to get Alonso and Garcia extradited to Baton Rouge.
