WATSON - Bond is set at more than $10 million for a man accused of possessing child pornography while on federal probation for the same crime.

47-year-old Jerry Brown, of Greensburg, was booked on charges of 100 counts of pornography involving juveniles, possession of a Schedule II CDS, possession of a legend drug and possession of drug paraphernalia after his arrest Sunday night.

Deputies said they encountered Brown when they responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle outside of a Watson business on LA Hwy 16. Deputies said Brown was parked in a remote, dark area of the parking lot, and when they approached the vehicle, it was apparent that Brown was trying to hide something on the car’s floorboard.

When they made contact with him, Brown admitted that he is currently on federal probation for child pornography, and admitted he had a computer in his vehicle that “could cause him problems.”

Deputies searched the vehicle and located a laptop with numerous images of underage persons engaged in sexual acts on it. They also recovered a flash drive that contained more than 1,000 images and videos of child porn.

The search also revealed two small pill containers that contained an amphetamine capsule and multiple dosages of other prescription drugs.

Brown is currently being held in the Catahoula Parish Detention Center as the Livingston Parish Detention Center is still being repaired from recent flood damage. His bond has been set at $10,040,500.
