Woman and child left in serious condition due to shooting on Burbank Drive
BATON ROUGE -Deputies are investigating a shooting that left a woman and her child injured, Friday night.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. in the 7400 block of Burbank Drive, near Starring Lane.
EBR Sheriff’s Office says a suspect approached the car that the victims were in before shooting into it and fleeing. That person escaped on foot.
Officials say the woman and child were taken to a local hospital in serious condition but are expected to survive.
As of now there are no details on the suspect.
