Third person dies from injuries in New Orleans wreck, fire
NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A third person has died from injuries in a wreck and fire in New Orleans.
New Orleans Fire Department spokesman Michael Williams told news outlets a woman pulled from the fire Wednesday at a salon and beauty supply store died from her injuries Thursday.
The fire started after a car crashed into the business. The two men in the car also died. Six other people were hurt. The names of those who died have not been released.
Authorities say the woman was getting her hair styled when the car struck the salon. Police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said officers had tried to stop the vehicle but turned off their lights after the vehicle sped away.
Ferguson says the chase is under investigation.
