State fair opens longer after being closed for three days
BATON ROUGE - The state fair will expand its operational hours this weekend since weather closed it earlier this week.
Saturday and Sunday, the Greater Baton Rouge State Fair will open at 10:00 a.m. The fair will close at 10:00 p.m.
The fair closes for the season Sunday.
Organizers said they hope the added hours will give people more of an opportunity to attend. Tickets from previous days will be honored.
Due to rain, the fair closed early Saturday and did not open Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. There is more rain forecast for this Saturday, though.
