BATON ROUGE – Two LSU students, are studying abroad this semester in Brussels, Belgium, and experienced the terror attacks Monday.

Heather Julius was asleep, when her sister woke her up, to let her know she was okay. Julius says she knew her sister was safe, before she knew there was a reason to worry. Bombings in Brussels killed 31 people, and injured at least 270 others. Julius's sister, Tiffanie, at her host family's home, just outside the city.

"I was relieved to know that my sister was okay. But, it's still hard not being there. She's there, she has her friends, she's with people from school and stuff," said Julius.

Tiffanie left for Belgium on New Year's Eve. Before she went, her family was worried about her safety, now the terror attacks have them even more scared.

"I know she was talking with some of the people from her program, asking if it was going to be okay to go and to travel," said Julius.

Julius says she will feel better when her sister is home with her family.

It's so devastating, but of course we're very thankful that Tiffanie is okay, and the people that she knows and she's near are okay," said Julius.

International investigators are still searching for a missing suspect, they think participated in the attacks.
