Police: man stole cash, ice cream from shop Tuesday night
DENHAM SPRINGS - Police are investigating a bizarre robbery of an ice cream parlor Tuesday evening.
A man went to the Menchie's where he fixed himself a dessert and then threatened an employee when they charged him for the ice cream. He was able to steal cash and his ice cream, police said.
The store posted on its Facebook page, the man told the worker to "give him the money in the register and she wouldn't get hurt." Police said the man never showed a weapon, though.
Surveillance video captured the man running out of the restaurant on Bass Pro Blvd.
