BRFD investigating fire on a house under construction on Cyrus
BATON ROUGE - Crews are determining the cause of a house fire that happened overnight on Thursday in the 6000 block of Cyrus Avenue.
According to Baton Rouge Fire Department, the house was being repaired from the August flood. Firefighters arrived to the scene shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday and saw the entire structure engulfed in flames.
The roof collapsed after firefighters came to the scene. According to BRFD, the fire was contained before it could spread to nearby houses.

The department said the building sustained damages estimated to be worth about $60,000.
