Veterans attend job fair on 9 11
BATON ROUGE - Veterans were in and out of the Mall of Louisiana all day Friday looking for work.
Capital Area United Way and BASF partnered together to host a job fair for those who have served in the military.
"The military is absolutely the best training in the world. The skill sets that people learn through their military service, are very, very transferable into all sorts of different jobs. Specifically in industrial type of roles," said the Human Resources Director for BASF Allan Bailie.
Organizers told News Two they were hoping to help more than five hundred veterans.
Along with the job fair, a supply drive was also happening where the public could donate toiletries for homeless veterans.
If you would like to make a donation, visit Capital Area United Way's website or give them a call at 225-383-2643.
