Some LSU fans tailgate even on Thanksgiving
BATON ROUGE- A handful of RV's occupied parking lots outside Tiger Stadium Thursday.
"Why spend Thanksgiving out here?" Central resident Les Burl asked. "Because they let us in early!"
Burl was joined by Greg Wilson, who brought his family down from Sterlington in the northern part of the state.
"This is like our second family," he said. "It really would not be right to not spend Thanksgiving without these guys just like our regular families."
Both Burl and Wilson said they were having dinner with their own extended families before and after the holiday. Thursday outside the stadium they only had a light a meal, saving the big tailgate Thanksgiving for the game on Saturday.
