Coroner identifies man killed in forklift accident
BATON ROUGE - Authorities say a man was killed in a forklift accident on Industrial Ave. Tuesday morning.
The incident happened after 11 a.m. Tuesday in the 7300 block of E. Industrial Avenue near Wooddale Blvd.
Sources tell WBRZ's Chris Nakamoto that 49-year-old Darnell Smith was killed by a falling piece of sheetrock. Details are limited at this time.
The store, Interior Exterior Building Supply, has closed its Baton Rouge location for the rest of the day.
