Vacant house damaged by fire on Georgia Street
BATON ROUGE - Firefighters are working to determine the cause of a blaze at a vacant house on Georgia Street.
First responders were called to the scene just before 7 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, the found the rear of the house engulfed in flames.
Firefighters say the flames were extinguished in about 18 minutes.
The house received heavy fire and smoke damage, according to officials, causing an estimated $30,000 in damage.
