Traffic concerns at new Ascension school sites
ASCENSION PARISH - The Ascension Parish School Board approved traffic studies Tuesday night for its four new school sites.
"They'll help to make recommendations to us that would help improve traffic and flow," said Chad Lynch, Director of Planning and Building for the District.
Lynch expects engineers to recommend traffic lights or turn lanes to mitigate higher congestion. All four sites are being built in the northern part of the parish to relieve overcrowded schools in that area.
The schools will include:

- A primary school on Germany Road
- A primary school off Airline Hwy near the Bullion Crossing Subdivision
- A middle school on the north end of Bluff Road
