Suspect wanted in fatal shooting of 19-year old woman on Florida Boulevard
BATON ROUGE- A arrest warrant has been issued for a Ponchatoula man for the shooting and killing of a 19-year old woman.
The incident occurred around 5:10 p.m. Tuesday in the 10900 block of Florida Boulevard.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, James Seymore, 20, was playing with a hand gun while sitting in the back seat of a vehicle and accidently shot Briana Hornsby while she was driving.
Seymore fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival. Hornsby was transported to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.
Seymore is wanted for negligent homicide and illegal use of a weapon.
