LAFAYETTE - Governor-elect Jeff Landry announced former State Representative Richard Nelson as the new Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Revenue.

Nelson ran against Landry in the gubernatorial race but dropped out in September, nearly a month before the primary election then endorsed Landry.

Landry will take office Jan. 8, 2024.
