Police cruiser involved in wreck
BATON ROUGE - A Baton Rouge Police officer's cruiser was involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon that sent three people, including the officer, to an area hospital.
A BRPD spokesperson said the wreck happened at Jassamine and Chippewa. Police said a vehicle ran a stop sign and collided with the Baton Rouge Police patrol car.
Two people inside of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, as did the officer. All were listed in stable condition at the hospital.
Authorities said they're still looking into how the wreck happened. The driver at fault was ticketed for failure to yield.
