EBR school board to revisit the renaming of Lee High School
BATON ROUGE – The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board will host a community forum on the renaming of Lee High School this week.
Last week, a school committee came up with recommendations for possible new names for the school in an attempt to distance the school from its confederate namesake, Robert E. Lee.
The community forum will be held on Thursday, June 9 in an effort to offer members of the community an opportunity to share their thoughts on potential names for the school.
The forum will be held in the Instructional Resource Center located at 1022 South Foster Drive at 6 p.m.
