Deputies: 19-year-old arrested in deadly shooting at Baton Rouge apartment complex
HOUMA - A man was arrested over the weekend for fatally shooting someone at an apartment complex off Siegen Lane earlier this month.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office announced Sunday that 19-year-old Marquel Jones was charged with shooting and killing a man Jan. 11 at Hidden Oaks apartments on Industriplex Boulevard.
State Police and Lafourche Parish law enforcement arrested Jones in Houma on Friday.
Police reported Randall Watkins Jr., 25, was shot during an argument with Jones and died in a hospital days later.
Jones was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center and will be taken back to East Baton Rouge to face charges.
