BATON ROUGE- The Baton Rouge Police Department will host its annual Night Out Against Crime on Thursday night. The event aims to bring together community members and law enforcement officers to present a unified front against crime in the capital city.

Law enforcement officials will be at the event talking about the different ways you can keep your neighborhood safe. BRPD says previous Night Out Against Crime events have been effective in uniting the community, and they hope Thursday's event will be just as successful.

The event will have exhibits, vendors and displays for adults and children alike. Kids can also have picture ID cards made to help identify them if they get lost.

This year's Night Out Against Crime will be held at BRPD headquarters (9000 Airline Highway) on Thursday, September 17th from 5-8 p.m. You can find out more about the event by calling the Community Resources Division at 225-389-4801 or visiting the BRPD Facebook Page.
