APSO still searching for 'armed and dangerous' burglary suspect, brother arrested
ASCENSION – The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office is looking for a man wanted for multiple burglaries in the area.
The suspect has been identified as Eric Troquille. Deputies began searching for Troquille near the Dutchtown Lane and Highway 74 area Tuesday afternoon where he and another suspect, 18-year-old Devin Troquille, fled from deputies.
Devin Troquille, Eric's brother, was arrested after a brief foot chase. He was charged on seven counts of simple burglary, two counts of theft of a firearm and simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
Hunt Correctional Center search dogs indicated that Eric Troquille was running towards the Hwy. 30 area. He was not located after a five-hour search.
Eric Troquille is 5'9'', 165 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes and was described as wearing a white shirt and khaki pants, possibly carrying a red bag. He is considered armed and dangerous.
The sheriff's office says that residents should not approach or confront him.
Residents are urged to call 911 immediately if they see Eric Troquille or to call the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at 225-621-8300 (option 1).
