2 Questions - Sydney Kern
Sydney Kern is a Weekend Anchor and Multimedia Journalist for WBRZ News 2. Sydney joined WBRZ in January 2018. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Kern is originally from Broomfield, Colorado and has family from South Louisiana, one of the reasons she chose LSU for college.
Before joining WBRZ, Sydney braved the cold weather, working at KDLT in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She also worked in the panhandle of Nebraska at KDHU. While in college Kern worked as an editor at WBRZ and interned at CBS4 in Denver.
In her free time, Sydney enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, hiking, biking and anything outdoors.
